What is CrossWorks?

Answer

CrossWorks (not to be confused with CrossSearch!) is what is called an institutional repository. It serves as a digital archive of “the creative, intellectual and scholarly work of the College of the Holy Cross community.”  CrossWorks is open access, which means that many of the resources inside it can be read around the world.

CrossWorks is a useful resource for finding research produced at the College and accessing primary sources from the College Archives. Some kinds of sources available in CrossWorks include:

  • Student newspapers (Crusader and its predecessor, the Tomahawk
  • Photographs
  • Oral histories
  • Yearbooks
  • Student handbooks
  • Honors theses
  • And much more!
